With Canada Day approaching (this weekend already, wow!) I thought I'd share some of my favourite red and white desserts:
Red Velvet cupcakes. These are from Sweet Impressions (store cupcakes have star cookies on top) and they are delicious:
Doesn't this Saskatoon Berry pie look amazing? I may have to pull my apron out and try out the recipe!
Whoopie pies are one of my favourite new discoveries. Here's a link to a recipe, and I think you can also buy them at Starbucks.
For a simple and tasty dessert, white chocolate covered strawberries are the way to go:
And finally, it's not red and white but this baked pear recipe uses maple syrup and looks fantastic:
