1 Month Before:
□
Pick up your wedding rings,
resize if necessary.
□
Compile information packages
for out-of-town guests, including hotel information and things to do. If you have a wedding website, post this
information online.
□
Order out-of-town welcome
baskets or start creating them yourself.
□
Have your final wedding gown
fitting. Get the gown pressed and bring
home.
□
Verify that the bridesmaids
dress and shoes are ready.
□
Have your florist provide you
with a sample of the centerpiece, make any adjustments now.
□
Finalize your photography
preferences, make a list of “must have” shots.
Get this information to the photographer.
□
Finalize music, create a “must
play” song list and a “must not play” song list. Get this information to the DJ.
□
Make sure wedding accessories
and small décor items have been purchased.
□
Obtain a marriage license.
□
Pick up name-change forms.
2 Weeks Before:
□
Contact your officiant to take
care of any details.
□
Determine the best place for a
receiving line.
□
Submit an announcement to the
newspaper, if you would like.
□
Call guests who did not RSVP to
finalize number of guests.
□
Finalize reception seating
chart and place cards.
□
Shop for your honeymoon.
□
Get a pre-wedding haircut and
colour touchup.
□
Wear your wedding day shoes
around the house to break them in.
