Timeline Tuesday Part 4

Wedding season is beginning, and we only have two more Timeline Tuesdays to go!  Here's your wedding planning checklist for 2-3 months before the wedding:

3 Months Before:

□       Finalize details with the caterer, photographer, videographer, etc.

□       Make appointment for engagement pictures.

□       Book your rehearsal dinner location and finalize a guest list.

□       Consider legal options such as a will or prenuptial agreement.

□       If required or preferred, attend a pre-wedding counseling session or program.

□       Book wedding night accommodations.

2 Months Before:

□       Send out invitations 6-8 weeks before the wedding.

□       Mail out the invitations for your rehearsal dinner.

□       If your reception is seated, start creating a seating chart and place cards.

□       Put together a timeline for your wedding day details.

□       Take care of wedding gown alterations

□       If you’re publishing an announcement in the newspaper, contact the paper to find out details.

□       Organize RSVP’s as they come in.

□       Pick speakers for your reception

□       Write your wedding vows if you plan to do so and finalize ceremony details.

□       Record gifts as you receive them – write thank you cards as gifts come in.

□       Order ceremony programs, or design them yourself.

□       Plan a bridesmaids get together and start thinking about what gifts to give them; the groom should start thinking about gifts to give his groomsmen at the rehearsal dinner.

□       Attend showers and bachelor/ette parties.

□       Begin shopping for gifts for each other.

□       Shop for toasting glasses, ring pillow, guestbook and pen, candles, etc.

□       Gather “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.”
